Educating students and clients on design process.
The Psycho-Aesthetics book was created as a design research strategy tool to help design students and potential clients develop a stronger understanding of the process to create a final product. The RKS wall was created as a talking point to continue that explanation to potential clients. The Psycho-Aesthetics book philosophy was previously taught at SCAD and was showcased at the 2017 IDSA Conference.
My personal achievements with the PA book include layout design, minor content development, proofreading, and production. Additionally, I developed graphics, managed the preflight print, vendor sourcing and installment of the RKS wall.

The Map
The PA Map is broken up into four quadrants - each differentiating through its measure of interaction and self actualization. The interaction ranges from passive to immersive. The self actualization is realized through its translation of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Using the PA Map, the user can map competitors and identify gaps in the market.

Key Attractors
The Key Attractors can be identified through thorough examination of the interviewees and personas. Understanding the personas allows the designer to find repeating patterns in the desires of the consumer. The desires help to set the parameters of the product and give suggestions to the potential features of the future product.
The Hero’s Journey
The Hero’s Journey reflects the process that a consumer actively engages in when they interact with a product. The success of a product can be better understood through the consumer interaction from the initial attraction, all the way to viral demand when the product becomes highly sought after.
